This is perhaps the most underutilized tool at your disposal to create real change in your life and achieve your potential:  altering your routines.  It is said we are ‘creatures of habit’ and that is certainly true.  Without intentional effort, we will tend to follow our daily rituals and habits without a thought.  Unfortunately, many of these habits are unhelpful, if not destructive, in our desire to change our circumstances.  These can include not eating breakfast (proven to reduce mental acuity), staying up late, over indulging in video games, television, etc. 

As you work to remove negative habits and routines, it is important to replace them with positive habits and daily routines.  Otherwise we will tend to return to our negative habits.  It is simply human nature – but you can and must do so to make the changes you desire in your life.
