“This is my simple religion. There is no need for temples; no need for complicated philosophy. Our own brain, our own heart is our temple; the philosophy is kindness.”
~Dalai Lama
The various man-made ‘religions’ overcomplicate a simple truth, eloquently expressed by the Dalai Lama: Simple kindness, if practiced consistently and whole-heartedly, provides all the spiritual sustenance we need. Whatever your religious beliefs, I ask you to consider simply practicing kindness – beginning with yourself, and then to your friends and foes alike.
