“Your belief determines your action and your action determines your results, but first you have to believe.”

~Mark Victor Hansen

You know I regularly push you to take action to make a difference in your life.  It is important, however, to reflect often on what you are trying to accomplish.  I believe it is critical to ensure your goals are in alignment with your true values and character.  If they are, then no matter how bold the goal is, you can confidently move forward in taking meaningful actions.  You must believe in the possibility of achievement in order to break through the natural obstacles to action – laziness, competing priorities, distractions, etc.

Take some time and look at your short and long term goals you have set (if you haven’t set goals, be sure to do that!).  Make sure they are your goals and not someone else’s.  Make sure each goal is in alignment with your deeply held values and that you truly believe in the possibility of achievement.  You may need a friend or colleague to be your goal partner to help each other believe.  But believe you must!

Once you ensure your goals are ones you believe in, then act!
