I am very fortunate to have a career that provides for travel to locations throughout much of the world that I never would have thought possible 15 years ago. While travel can be exhausting and keeps me away more than I’d like from a family I adore, I am grateful for the opportunity to experience people, culture, food, architecture, art and landscapes I would never see if I stayed in one small area of the planet as most people do. I believe this experience has given me proof of my always-held belief that there is value and something to be learned from all cultures and nations. While I love my country I know we are stronger when we embrace differences and especially differences in ideas and cultures.
I wish for all of my readers that you have the opportunity to travel and experience all this wonderful planet has to offer, and when you do, that you allow an open mind and an open heart to listen, learn, and love all the people you meet.
