You know a person has risen above ignorance when they can engage in a respectful dialogue with someone whose views are diametrically opposed to theirs. It is a sad fact that so many “educated” people lack the courage and wisdom to entertain differing opinions and views. This ignorance is the main cause of family, community and global strife. If we can find the courage to listen, we can find that our differences are few and largely inconsequential.
