Carrying on from Tuesday’s JAM, I want to continue to impress upon you the importance of recognizing the ability you have in this moment to choose your reaction to your circumstances.  You will be forever buffeted with challenges and opportunities, some of your own making and most not.  Take the time to both recognize your ability to choose your attitude and reaction to the negative and positive inputs in your daily life, and the importance of training your mind to do so.
Think about a time when you were able to navigate a difficult situation and reflect on why you were able to do this.  Read any of a multitude of stories available in books and on the internet that tell of the thousands of people who successfully overcame challenges.  You will learn that most of these stories are based on a combination of preparation, continuous learning, tenacity and courage to act.
Prepare yourself for life.  There will always be surprises, both positive and negative.  Be ready to choose your reaction to be one of growth and learning vs. any number of negative reactions.
