“When you were born, you cried and the world rejoiced. Live your life, so that when you die, the world cries and you rejoice”

the good life

This is one of those big, deep thoughts but one I believe we must focus on regularly:  Am I living a worthy life in this moment?  We all know we could die or become incapacitated at any moment and lose all chance of being the person we hope to be, personally, professionally, and spiritually.  And yet we rarely stop, reflect, and refocus ourselves on what is important, and saying “no” to what is not.

As we start the eighth month of 2013 – 60% of the way through another year! – pause today and ask yourself questions of alignment, of purpose, of belief, and of love.  All of us are imperfect and all of us can use this time, if we choose, to regularly course-correct and move with intention on a path of meaningful existence.  And as you do this, remember to celebrate all the ways you are living the life you want.  You don’t have to wait until you die to rejoice – celebrate each moment that you are the best you.
