Field’s comment was made in relation to serving customers but could just as easily be applied to how we treat employees, family members, and friends. If you want to ensure someone or a group of people continue to be part of your personal or professional life then be intentional about how you treat them. We all want to feel we are special, cared about as the unique individuals we are. Never assume your customer, your employees, your friends, or the people you love know you want them to return. Take action to ensure they know.
