“First say to yourself what you would be;
and then do what you have to do.”

~ Epictetus

We’ve spent the last 3 weeks or so discussing seven potential blocks to goal achievement.  I hope they have helped give you some ideas on how to get on with taking action to achieve your goals and some perspective as well.  Before we move on to discussing 8 tips on taking action now so you can best experience achievement, I want to share an inspirational video.  You’ll only need 10 minutes to watch and I assure you it will be worthwhile and remove any remaining excuses you still have for not getting on with your best efforts.

The video is of Professor Randy Pausch reprising his last lecture at Carnegie-Mellon University – “Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams”.  Professor Pausch is an extraordinarily talented and popular professor who happens to be battling inoperable pancreatic cancer.  Pausch talked about his lessons learned and gave advice to students on how to achieve their own career and personal goals. This is not a depressing or morose video.  It is inspirational and will give you even more impetus for living your best life!
