“We can only be said to be alive in those moments when our hearts are conscious of our treasures.”

~Thornton Wilder

As I reflect on the moments in which I have felt most alive, more filled with joy, and most happy, they are those moments in which I was most aware of the many blessings in my life.  My wife, my children, and my grandson by far top that list.  My extended family, closest friends and most valued work colleagues come next.  The opportunity to bring my best to work every day for a tremendous organization and live in an exciting foreign country rounds out my top 3.  The list goes on, but you get the idea.

Rather than spend any more time focusing on what you don’t have, think about all you do have, reflect with gratitude and allow yourself to feel a bit more alive, joyful, and happy.
