“The fact is that five years ago I was, as near as possible, a different person to what I am tonight. I, as I am now, didn’t exist at all. Will the same thing happen in the next five years? I hope so.”

 ~Siegfried Sassoon

I am happy to say that I find that I continue to evolve over the years.  While my core beliefs and character remain constant, my experiences and my active learning allow my understanding of the world to evolve.  I believe fundamentally in the basic goodness of people and my experience has only strengthened that belief over the years.  Despite the amount of negativity in the media and the real challenges throughout the world, I am confident in our ability to become a better people and help create a better world for our children and grandchildren.  No one religion, ethnicity, or set of beliefs are “correct”.  It is only in our recognition of the good within all people that we create a strong, safe, effective community and world.
I look forward to the next 5 years and to see the person I’ve become.  I look forward to seeing who you become as well – be intentional in how you experience life so that you also evolve.  In this way, we will work together to ensure collectively that we create a better world.
