“One of the most tragic things I know about human nature is that all of us tend to put off living. We are all dreaming of some magical rose garden over the horizon instead of enjoying the roses that are blooming outside our windows today.”
~Dale Carnegie
Does this describe how you are living your life today? Spending all or most of your energy striving for some imagined perfect future, vs. balancing that work with an appreciation for what you have today? This is all about balance. Failure to strive for improvement ensures no progress. Failing to enjoy and appreciate the current moment ensures little happiness. The answer is to intentionally carve out time in your hectic daily activities for reflection and gratitude. Balance is not only possible, it is essential.
