It may seem counter-intuitive, but it is true that happiness and contentment with life usually stems from disciplined living.  Whether this is discipline toward exercise, diet, loyalty, integrity or commitment, discipline brings a sense of well-being and accomplishment which forms the basis of joy and fulfillment.

Be disciplined to those things that matter most to you and the people you love, and you will find yourself cheerful and content more often than not.
