It is true that only real experience can truly create wisdom. While I highly recommend lifelong learning through formal education and reading, there are no books or classes which can substitute for experience. It takes courage to propel yourself into situations that provide the experiences necessary for real learning. Courage comes from confidence. Confidence comes from learning enough to take intentional action. So, learn, act, gain experience and confidence, and continue to take the risks that give you the experience necessary for wisdom.
