“Quit hanging on to the handrails…Let go. Surrender. Go for the ride of your life. Do it every day.”
Depending on your perspective, you view risk takers with admiration or disdain. Risk taking doesn’t have to be death-defying or heroic. It can be (and should be) as simple as making a sales call to that difficult client, talking to your boss about your career aspirations, or leveling honestly with a co-worker about their annoying work habits. Yes there are bigger risks, exciting risks, which you could and should consider. But before you go there, start with the simpler things you know you should do but haven’t found the courage to do – until today.
