“For good or ill, your conversation is your advertisement.  Every time you open your mouth you let men look into your mind.

Are your words and actions representing the person you want to be, or believe yourself to be?  We judge ourselves by our intent, but others can only judge us by what we say and do.  We must be ever-vigilant on what we allow to move from our thoughts to our lips.  It is a natural tendency to join in with people gossiping or speaking ill of someone or some group of people.  But is that how you want to be perceived?  As a gossip or a negative person?  No, people don’t know you are really a kind and gentle soul.  They only know you by what you choose to say.

Choose your words carefully.  Pause in any moment of negative emotion and stop yourself before uttering words you will regret and/or give people reason to believe you are someone you are not or do not want to be.
