“People often say that ‘beauty is in the eye of the beholder,’ and I say that the most liberating thing about beauty is realizing that you are the beholder.  This empowers us to find beauty in places where others have not dared to look, including inside ourselves.”

 ~Salma Hayek

A happy life is one spent witnessing the beauty all around us and within us.  And yet so many of us spend our time critiquing everything and everyone.  What if instead of critiquing as our first response, we sought out the beauty instead?  What if we took that same approach with ourselves?

Your assignment:  Today and through the weekend, any time you witness yourself critiquing something (yourself included), stop for a moment and find something, anything beautiful in that person, place, or thing.  Hold onto that thought for 30 seconds and see if your perspective doesn’t change.

My JAMmin’ friend, you look marvelous!  Happy day!
