“Become a possibilitarian. No matter how dark things seem to be or actually are, raise your sights and see possibilities – always see them for they’re always there.”
~Norman Vincent Peale
The most difficult time to see the existence of positive possibilities is when mired in challenging circumstances. But it is in these dark moments when we need the power we possess to see beyond the current situation to a brighter future. Some seem naturally able to do this (think of Helen Keller and …), while most struggle. The key is to build faith in your human ability to take action to improve your situation, and build your character strength to draw upon this ability when you need it. You cannot eliminate challenges and heartache. They will certainly come, sometimes often, sometimes rarely, but they will come. Steel yourself for these moments by reading about the people who do this every day by seeing the possibilities and taking action, and visualize yourself taking similar actions to pull yourself through your next challenging or painful situation.
