“Too often we enjoy the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”

 ~John F. Kennedy

Particularly during the current US political divisiveness, I seek to remind you to not be bound by dogmatic thinking.  While it may be challenging to think through and perhaps entertain thoughts different from your own, it is a mark of character and maturity to be able to consider alternative viewpoints.  More often than not, arguments can be resolved through careful and respectful consideration of alternative viewpoints.  Most people desire the same positive results.  Assume good intent and you may be surprised by the richness and value of solutions derived from individuals with different ideas who wish for the same positive result.
