“So do it. Decide. Is this the life you want to live? Is this the person you want to love? Is this the best you can be? Can you be stronger? Kinder? More compassionate? Decide. Breathe in. Breathe out and decide.”

~Meredith Grey

I often coach the idea of taking action, and I maintain that this is the most important aspect of a life of achievement and joy.  However, action must be preceded by a decision to act.  So today I invite you to reflect on areas where you are not making progress and are failing to act.  The first question to ask yourself is, “have I really made the decision on what I want to do?”  Acting without a decision is foolish at best, and could be tragic at worst.  But more likely, inaction is the issue and is often caused by indecisiveness.
Today’s push is to reflect on your personal and professional goals and determine where action is lacking.  Then, ask yourself if you’ve clearly made the decision necessary to take appropriate actions.  Often you will find that you thought you’d made a decision but in your analysis of your inaction, you really weren’t committed.  Ask yourself the questions in the quote and others like them.  Make your decisions.  And of course, ACT.
